Latent · San Francisco
First Engineering Manager hire to lead multiple product engineering teams, each with an Engineering Lead, working with Product on medication access and clinical workflows. Responsibilities include coaching Leads, hiring and developing engineers, and defining engineering management practices. Teams are small and the role is to help define the playbook.
Latent is the enterprise pharmacy intelligence platform, powered by a clinical agentic engine, that enables health systems to grow their pharmacy operations and serve more patients. One engine works across the pharmacy journey to identify patients who qualify for care, improve medication access, capture eligible prescriptions and support patients throughout treatment. Latent’s platform enables more than 60 leading health systems that collectively serve an estimated 70 million people. Founded by Sriram “Sri” Somasundaram and Rishabh Jain, Latent has raised $80 million from Transformation Capital, Spark Capital, Conviction, General Catalyst, Y Combinator, and others.
Latent builds clinical intelligence that helps health systems run complex pharmacy operations, giving patient access to the medications they need, and helping care teams focus on serving patients.
The work spans healthcare workflows, enterprise software, and applied AI. Engineers work closely with Product and customer-facing teams to understand the problem, build the solution, and own the outcome in production.
We are hiring our first Engineering Manager. You will lead a portfolio of product engineering teams, working towards accelerating medication access for patients. Each team has a clear area of ownership and an Engineering Lead. Because you are the first person in this role, you will help define what engineering management looks like at Latent rather than run an established playbook.
Your job is to help those teams work effectively. You will mentor and support Leads, hire and develop engineers, and keep teams aligned with company priorities. You will also work directly with Product and business leaders on strategy, prioritization, and execution.
Compensation: $250K - $300K
This posting doesn’t list technologies. These are the ones Latent uses across its other roles.
