Field-based Integration Engineer role for validating sensors and hardware, running supervised autonomy tests, and maintaining fleet software for autonomous ground handling vehicles. Work involves travel to deployment airports, outdoor operation, and weekend work, based onsite in Atlanta. Requires Linux, LiDAR/camera/radar/GNSS experience, and log debugging.

Who We Are

AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy, redefining how airlines and ground service providers around the globe run day-to-day operations. We are a Series A company backed by top-tier venture capital investors in aviation and autonomous driving. Our customers include some of the world’s largest airlines and ground handling providers. For more information, visit www.aerovect.com.

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel to deployment airports and test facilities. The Integration Engineer will work closely with both the engineering team and field operations personnel. Physical requirements include the ability to work outdoors for extended periods, lift and handle test equipment, and operate or be in close proximity to autonomous machinery.

You will

  • Evaluate and validate new sensors and platform hardware through structured test programs
  • Fix minor bugs in the autonomy software stack during field operations
  • Execute supervised autonomy testing runs
  • Execute release-level testing to verify software and hardware production readiness
  • Collect data and run tests for edge-case maneuvers, sensor profiling, obstacle avoidance, and controller tuning
  • Train and level up Test Operators to grow team capability
  • Maintain fleet software through updates, patches, and configuration management
  • Monitor fleet health and triage field issues to minimize downtime
  • Document test results, field observations, and issue reports for engineering feedback

You have

  • Bachelor's in EE, ME, CS, Robotics, or related field
  • 2–4 years in systems integration, field testing, or hardware/software validation for robotic platforms
  • Hands-on experience with LiDAR, cameras, radar, GPS/GNSS, and embedded hardware
  • Proficiency with Linux and command-line tooling
  • Ability to read software logs, identify anomalies, and debug
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills

We prefer

  • Experience with ROS2 or similar robotics middleware
  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicle platform architecture
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Exposure to Python or C++ for scripting or log analysis
  • Experience mentoring or training junior technical staff

Please note that this role is based onsite in Atlanta and will involved weekend working.
