Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a Sr. Data Engineer to join our new Match Group Core Data team. This new position is a hybrid role combining the technical expertise of a data engineer with the product-focused mindset of a product manager — ensuring data is effectively leveraged to build and improve data products for all brands and business units in Match Group.

The Core Data team is a service organization that delivers data and reporting solutions across the entire Match Group enterprise, supporting Marketing, Product, Finance, Accounting, Strategy, and Analytics teams for every brand (Tinder, Hinge, Match, OkCupid, PlentyOfFish, BLK, Chispa, and more).

How you'll make an impact:

We could be a match if you have:

•  5+ years of professional/industry experience
• Expertise in SQL, data modeling, lakehouse architecture, and Python
• Experience with Redshift, Airflow, AWS QuickSight, Databricks, Spark, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server)
• Ability to drive initiatives and articulate their value to engineering and stakeholders
• Experience delivering data products from conception to delivery
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience facilitating workshops across disparate groups
• Passion for designing elegant data solutions and platforms
