Hermeus · Los Angeles, CA
Develop Julia simulation code for 6DOF Software-in-the-Loop systems, including scalable Monte Carlo simulation. Build physics-informed hardware and dynamics models and validate outputs against real flight data. Work alongside Flight Software, HMI, and Flight Sciences teams on requirements and performance optimization.
Hermeus is a venture-backed defense aviation company reclaiming the lost art of rapid iterative prototyping to build the fastest aircraft in the world today. By prioritizing relentless hardware iteration, we deliver high-speed systems at the pace of the modern battlefield. We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.
As a Modeling & Simulation Software Engineering Intern you will work with the software team to develop performant modeling and simulation code for our 6DOF SITL simulation using Julia. You'll Interface with the Flight Software, HMI, and Flight Sciences teams to meet stakeholder needs and ensure accurate results. Your work will involve creating hardware/physics informed software models and validate results with real data.
