Your Route Into Cloud Platform & Data Engineering

Welcome to Via Logic, where innovation meets collaboration. We are seeking a Cloud Platform and Data Engineer with 3–5 years of relevant professional experience to support our federal government client. Hands-on experience with both the Salesforce platform and AWS is required. In this role, you will contribute to the deployment, automation, integration, and ongoing support of secure cloud environments and Salesforce-connected applications. You’ll collaborate with developers, platform specialists, and other technical team members to maintain reliable infrastructure, improve data flows, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen delivery processes. Our environment brings together AWS, Salesforce, APIs, databases, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD tooling. You’ll apply your understanding of the Salesforce platform alongside cloud engineering and automation skills to support reliable connections between applications, infrastructure, and data. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with a solid technical foundation who is ready to deepen their experience while supporting meaningful, mission-driven work.

Your Mission Today

Your Responsibilities

  • AWS Infrastructure: Build, deploy, maintain, and optimize AWS infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and databases, to support secure, scalable, and reliable applications.
  • Work with Salesforce-based solutions and connected systems, collaborating with platform and development teams to support application workflows, integrations, and data access.
Salesforce Platform Support:
  • Integration & Data Management: Support APIs, data ingestion, and ETL processes that connect Salesforce with AWS-hosted applications and other systems. Investigate data flow issues and help maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • CI/CD & Delivery Automation: Build and maintain automated pipelines that incorporate testing, security checks, and deployment validation using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain infrastructure configurations using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to support consistent, repeatable deployments.
  • Containers & Microservices: Support the deployment and operation of containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or related AWS services.
  • Monitoring & Reliability: Use monitoring, logging, and diagnostics to identify performance issues, improve availability, and support efficient resource utilization.
  • Production Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate and help resolve infrastructure, application, API, integration, and database issues. Automate recurring operational tasks where practical.
  • Security & Compliance: Apply secure networking, access controls, encryption, and secrets management practices while supporting applicable federal security and compliance requirements.
  • Testing & Documentation: Contribute automated tests for infrastructure and deployment processes, validate changes, and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Agile teams, sprint activities, technical reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
