In this role, the essential functions are:

  • Acts as both a technical authority, ensuring program-level systems engineering rigor and compliance with contractual and mission requirements, as well as a team mentor of junior systems engineers, fostering knowledge transfer and process maturity within the organization.
  • Oversee system, subsystem, and interface requirements definition and maintenance; ensure full traceability, verification, and compliance with MDA standards.
  • Lead development and validation of system architecture, with direct creation and execution of system-level verification and validation plans, functional allocations, interface definitions, and compliance reporting across all program tiers.
  • Interface extensively with propulsion, software, hardware, GNC, and test teams to ensure coherent system-level performance and verification closure.
  • Manage system-level risk identification, mitigation strategy, and integration into program risk posture.
  • Coordinate technical baseline management, change control, and participation in formal reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
  • Provide authoritative MBSE leadership — guide SysML modeling standards, integration with requirements databases, and digital engineering toolchain alignment.
  • Serve as primary technical liaison with customer and supplier organizations on requirements flowdown, verification progress, and technical issue resolution.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level systems engineers, fostering knowledge transfer and process maturity within the organization.

If your experience aligns with our basic qualifications and you are inspired by our mission, we’d like to connect. If you don’t see the right role right now, Join Our Talent Community and stay connected as we continue to build what’s next.
